A high-profile Federal Government agency is seeking a Senior Data Visualisation Analyst to join their team in Canberra. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Power BI professional with expertise in workforce planning and strong data governance capabilities. The successful candidate will work onsite to support strategic workforce initiatives by developing and enhancing workforce planning dashboards and reports.
To be successful in this role you must:
Data Visualisation Development: Design, build, and enhance clear and consistent Power BI dashboards to support strategic workforce decision-making, each with detailed help documentation.
Dashboard Quality & Reporting Improvement: Assess and uplift existing reporting products, identifying inconsistencies and recommending visualisation enhancements.
Data Governance: Ensure consistent and logical application of data governance across reporting assets.
User Training & Capability Building: Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users and internal teams to increase capability in understanding and using workforce planning reports.
Surge Reporting: Support rapid reporting development to meet emerging organisational needs and priorities.
To be considered for this role you must:
Organisational Capability: Demonstrated organisational ability to deliver high-quality services within defined scope and timelines.
Workforce Planning Reporting: Proven experience delivering workforce planning and reporting solutions within a Federal Government environment.
HR, Finance & Governance Knowledge: Strong understanding and application of HR, finance, and governance concepts to support the development and project management of new system/reporting.
Experience delivering workforce planning and reporting within a Defence or security-focused environment.
Ability to:
Improve data quality and timeliness of report delivery.
Provide data-driven workforce insights.
Enhance end-user satisfaction and engagement with reporting tools.
Drive BI team capability uplift over time.
