Job description


As an experienced Program Manager you will be responsible for program Management across a portfolio of projects primarily concerned with IT infrastructure (software, hardware, network and security).

Key Responsibilities include:

- Managing a portfolio of cross functional multi-disciplinary projects with the primary measure of the success being the delivery of positive business outcome along with the delivery of a technology solution

- Developing and maintaining realistic and achievable Project Management Plans, incorporating project deliverable, scheduling, budgeting and key project milestones

- Managing a geographically diverse range of third-party vendors and business stakeholders

- Assigning, delegating, communicating and coordinating project tasks and activities

- Identifying, managing, communicating and mitigating project risks and issues

- Reviewing and managing changes to the requirements through a formally defined scope change process including implications to project resources, schedules and budgets

- Measuring and monitoring progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed expectations.

To be considered and secure this great permanent role you will need:

- Demonstrated and a proven record of success in IT including extensive Project Management experience across both IT and Business Change projects (full life cycle projects)

- Experience working with 3rd party infrastructure service providers such as Azure and AWS.

- Demonstrated experience in having managed multi-disciplinary project teams including:

  • Software developers
  • Integration developers working across internal and external (3rd party) systems. (Knowledge of the risks involved in a 3rd party integration and associated legal/regulatory outcomes would be worthwhile)
  • Solution architects
  • Business analysts
  • Business representatives

- To be an experienced workshop facilitator - driving the team to effectively elaborate business processes and elicit requirements sooner to progress to design and build

- Experience working with Agile & DevOps in addition to Waterfall delivery methodology
