Lead Business Systems Analyst

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Business Systems Analyst with strong mix of technical, leadership and stakeholder engagement experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in analysing and improving business processes, implementing effective system solutions, and promoting Business/Systems analysis methodologies and best practices. The role requires a deep understanding of business needs, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Assess potential modifications and or updates to the existing applications while ensuring ongoing functionality within an established environment.
• Lead configuration efforts for key business systems, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business needs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable system solutions.
• Develop and implement effective methodologies and best practices for business analysis and system design.
• Conduct thorough testing of configurations to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Provide expertise in troubleshooting and resolving configuration-related challenges.
• Provide leadership in the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies to meet business needs.
• Contribute to and oversee the development and maintenance of system documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Use advanced knowledge of technology and business processes to identify opportunities to further leverage the technology within the business.
• Engage with stakeholders, vendors and other technical areas within the business using effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Experience:

• Financial Services experience is highly desirable, however not essential.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, IT, Project Management or similar is desirable
• Proven leadership experience, mentoring a team and promoting Business and Systems analyst best practices.
• Strong knowledge of the software development lifeycle.
• Strong background in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design.
• In-depth knowledge of various business analysis methodologies and best practices, with proven experience applying these methods within an organisation.
• Experience in implementing and optimising enterprise-level systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
