Job description
Our client:
- Join us as a Network lead in the communication industry
- 6 months inital contract and further extensions
- $500-$600 per day excluding super
- Manage project plans and deliver work to agreed priorities; manage own work load to achieve results to agreed standards and within agreed time frames; provide reports of progress as required.
- Keep abreast of trends in the communications industry to enable input to the delivery of an optimum service to clients.
Selection Criteria (based on qualifications, experience and competencies):
- Tertiary qualifications in an IT/ communication related field e.g. Bachelor IT or Elec Eng, CCNP. and/or relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of data communications in a complex national networked environment comprised of LAN/WAN/Firewall infrastructure from large campus to small/regional office environments including QOS and multicast enabled converged network services.
- Experience in the support and configuration of a data communications network of similar size and technology Particular knowledge: Cisco switching and routing products, Quality of Service, IPSec VPN, Cisco ASA, EIGRP, Network Monitoring, Multicasting and Wireless LAN infrastructure.
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills; able to communicate complex network technology concepts to non-technical staff; ability to present and communicate confidently with service providers and clients.
