Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer - Nginx (Angular/Node.js Migration Focus)
Location: Canberra (Flexible work arrangements may be considered)
Contract Type: 12 month contract with 24 month extension option
Clearance: Must hold or have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer - Nginx to support a critical digital services migration project. The successful candidate will work on setting up, configuring, and optimizing Angular applications hosted on Nginx/Node.js infrastructure, with a focus on seamless migration and high system performance. This is a contract-based role supporting a high-impact government-facing platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Setup & Migration:
Design and configure infrastructure components required for Angular-based application migration.
Deploy and maintain Angular and Node.js systems using Nginx, ensuring reliability and scalability.
Automate workflows using Python and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Project Delivery:
Deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions on time, aligned with project milestones and quality expectations.
Knowledge Transfer:
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth handover through detailed documentation and training sessions.
Performance Optimisation:
Continuously monitor and fine-tune infrastructure to support application performance post-migration.
Security & Compliance:
Ensure infrastructure configurations adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Nginx server applications.
Strong hands-on experience with Angular (ideally Angular 18) and Node.js (version 20).
Familiarity with infrastructure automation using Python and Ansible.
Experience using GitLab for DevOps CI/CD workflows.
Prior experience in migrating Angular applications from Nginx servers to alternate platforms.
