Job description

Our client is a global technology leader within the mining sector seeking experienced OT Wireless Network Engineers. Collaborate closely with Tier 1 Mining enterprises to spearhead the design, planning, and implementation of wireless networks for Autonomous Mining projects.

Based in Brisbane, this is a permanent position that may entail occasional on-site travel as dictated by project demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, planning, development and execution of wireless networking solutions tailored for Autonomous Mining Solutions.
  • Take the lead in designing and deploying wireless network infrastructures, consistently enhancing existing networks to meet evolving needs.
  • Generate comprehensive high-level and low-level designs, and translating conceptual ideas into actionable work packages across diverse technological landscapes.
  • Execute the installation, configuration, and upkeep of various network components, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP servers to ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Maintain strict adherence to project timelines, mitigating roadblocks and optimising resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the design and delivery of holistic wireless network solutions.
  • Hands-on Wireless OT Networking experience within the Mining sector
  • Demonstrated competence with Cisco, Cambium and Rajant Wireless Hardware (LTE/5G)
  • Understanding of IP Networks components (Routing, Switching and Firewalls)
  • Knowledge of Fleet Management Systems, e.g. MineStar Command
  • CCNA/CCNP Certification (Advantageous)
  • Background in Defence (Advantageous)
