Job description

As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll using CHRIS21, covering the full employee lifecycle. Ensure accurate calculations for payments, deductions, leave, superannuation, and tax. Provide expert support on payroll queries and legislation while driving process improvements and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end processing of payroll for salaried and wage employees
  • Maintenance of employee records, including new starters, changes, and terminations
  • Preparation and reconciliation of payroll-related payments (e.g. PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax)
  • Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner
  • Conducting regular data audits and maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and internal controls
  • Producing reports on payroll metrics and employee data as required

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in full-function, end-to-end payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and employee entitlements
  • Experience with payroll systems such as CHRIS21, Aurion, or similar platforms
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and data integrity
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex payroll matters clearly
