PeopleSoft Developer
Location: Adelaide (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 6 months (potential extension)
An opportunity exists for two experienced PeopleSoft Developer to support the delivery and ongoing enhancement of a system within a large, complex higher environment.
This is a hands-on techno-functional role suitable for professionals with strong PeopleSoft development expertise and an understanding of both technical implementation and functional business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust solutions that directly support core student and academic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support Oracle/PeopleSoft Solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Leverage PeopleCode, PeopleTools, SQL, and related tools to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Interpret business requirements and convert them into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Develop and support APIs, web services, and integrations within the PeopleSoft environment.
- Implement and maintain secure development practices across all application components.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team capability uplift.
- Manage tasks autonomously and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience with PeopleSoft development and support.
- Proficient in PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQL, and web service/API development.
- Proven experience gathering and refining business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Ability to thrive in cross-functional teams and contribute to collective goals.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Familiarity with security considerations across platforms including cloud and integrations.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience in a complex enterprise setting.
