Job description

Position summary

The Senior Power Platform Developer is responsible for contributing to the overall Power Platform strategy, management, integration, end-to-end development, execution, and continuous optimisation of multi-channel initiatives to ensure the provision of a quality, up-to-date platform that meets business requirements.

Organisational relationships

The Senior Power Platform Developer reports to the CRM Multi Channel Manager, liaises with all employees and is responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with relevant service providers.

Principal accountabilities

Application Management

  • Manage day to day Power Platform deliverables as per agreed roadmap and plans.
  • Collaborate with product managers/owners, architects, developers and other business stakeholders to define business requirements and solutions and to conduct business reviews.
  • Drive improvement, enhancements and upgrades for the platform in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough code base development and reviews of team development work.
  • Design, deploy and implement Power Platform configurations as needed to ensure the platform delivers measurable value to the business.
  • Design and develop new features and functionality that support business processes using Dynamics and Power Platform Capabilities along with integrating multiple systems.
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate any risks or issues related to code bases, design elements or related
  • Active participation in agile ceremonies.
  • Administer and manage Power Platform applications to ensure appropriate service levels are met
  • Provide ad hoc support as required and troubleshoot issues raised by users and work towards resolution in acceptable timeframe
  • Working with External Partners as required for an optimal resolution
  • Design, develop and optimise business reports from CRM datasets and present compelling insights in appropriate visual formats
  • Supports the development and ongoing execution of the enterprise data quality management strategy
  • Configuration, data requirements and test plans to conduct functional unit tests, regression tests and system integration tests
  • Create functional and technical design documents in collaboration with stakeholders

Knowledge Management

  • Provide level 1 and 2 end user support and ongoing training via several different methods
  • Create and maintain up to date documentation on Power Platform functionality and common tasks geared toward employee audience stored in a central knowledge repository
  • Develop system documentation, user operations procedures and training materials and deliver both formal and informal user training as required in conjunction with Learning and Development team
  • Engage with business stakeholders to identify business process improvement opportunities
  • Partner with business stakeholder groups to understand, guide and support the adoption of new or updated system enhancements

Technical knowledge

  • Technical and/or professional skills needed to successfully perform the job activities.

  • Emerging technology trends as related to Power Platform and the broader Microsoft Office suite of products.

  • Strong working knowledge of associated technologies including Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook Client, Office 365, Power BI and Azure
  • Strong understanding of architectural principles and practices


  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in cross team collaborations to work together towards an initiative.
  • Extensive experience in the establishment of processes and controls into existing Power Platform environments
  • Experience participating in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new Power Platform initiatives (Upgraded Versions, Third- Party Solutions, and Integration with additional Enterprise Systems)
  • Management of third-party service providers to meet defined service requirements.
  • Experience developing and maintaining a professional and supportive reputation for technology within a dynamic and fast paced business.


  • Certification in Power Platform Capabilities (PL-900 or above)
  • Certification in Azure focusing on fundamentals
  • Undergraduate qualifications in technology, information systems or other related discipline
