Job description
Our client is a government department who is looking for a Power Apps/Power Platform Developer to join them on a 2 year contract based out of Brisbane CBD with flexible WFH on offer.
Role
As a Power Platform Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. You will work closely with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions using Power Platform tools like PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Power BI. Your role will be to ensure that the solutions meet the business needs and requirements of clients, while also adhering to industry best practices and standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom business solutions using Power Platform.
- Create, configure, and maintain Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate workflows.
- Work with business users and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Participate in Scrum based project teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with Power Platform Administrators and Developers to identify and implement re-usable components.
- Collaborate with Integration Teams to design, test and resolve issues related to data
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Platform solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest Power Platform features and recommend innovative solutions to improve business processes.
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience developing custom solutions using Power Platform.
- Strong understanding of Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Familiar with Power Pages
- Proficient in Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX formulas.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
