About the role
Due to continued growth our client has an opportunity for a Senior Solution Architect with subject matter expertise in one of more of collaboration, network and security solutions to join their Canberra team. This role works closely with their customers and account teams in developing solutions and guiding their delivery.
This is a senior role and provides solution leadership through consulting engagements to provide strategic advice, development of roadmaps and solutions, client presentations, creation of statements of work, development of high level and detailed designs, and acting as the design authority during project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical solutions to meet customer requirements using best of breed technologies and methodologies
- Work with customer and solution delivery teams to develop Statements of Work (SOW)
- Undertake delivery engagement to provide advice, high level and detailed designs
- Develop solution proposals and cost models for projects, including hardware, software, support/maintenance and services
- Produce tender responses
- Provide subject matter expertise in either collaboration and/or network and/or security solutions to assist the boarder business when required
- Work with the project delivery team as 'design authority' / technical escalation for projects
- Proactively provide input for customer account plans and roadmaps
Key Competencies and Skills:
- 3+ years' experience as a Solution Architect/Consultant in a pre-sales capacity
- 10+ years as a technical consultant/engineer including solid architectural and design experience.
- An in-depth understanding of either collaboration, network or security solutions will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in working with BDM's/AM's to scope cutting edge technology solutions
- Gather customer requirements and map them to recommended relevant solutions that address customer issues and add value
- Build strong relationships with vendor partners
- SOW development with insight to its components and construct
- Cost model development and effort estimation
- Commercial and Business acumen
- Relevant certifications from leading vendors in collaboration and/or network solutions such as CISCO, Aruba, Microsoft, Alcatel, Arista, Fortinet.
- Academic achievement - Undergraduate degree in the relevant field, optional postgraduate degree/certification/diploma an advantage but not essential.
- An in-depth understanding of either collaboration, network or security solutions will be an advantage.
