Job description
A key State Government Department are currently undertaking a major project to replace a core business application.
They are now seeking an experienced Principal Project Officer for an initial 6 month contract with a highly likely extension.
THE ROLE
In this role you will play a key part in supporting the Project Manager off all facets of the project including budget management, resource scheduling, stakeholder engagements and presentation delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiate and manage the delivery of a range of initiatives and projects by effectively monitoring project planning, coordination, monitoring, reporting, budget, risk and issue management, ensuring the alignment of proposed projects with business needs
- Maintain and apply high-level knowledge of project management methodologies, business analysis, software development life cycle and quality assured processes
- Use advanced interpersonal communication to negotiate, establish and maintain networks and working relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders
- Liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with team members, other project teams, stakeholders and customer groups to develop and maintain effective working relationships and the integrity of the Departments operating environment
REQUIREMENTS
- Practical experience in ICT project management roles
- Practical experience in Business Analyst roles (desirable)
