Job description
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project Director to lead and oversee major projects that drive our strategic initiatives and deliver impactful outcomes for the community.
The Project Director will be responsible for the successful delivery of high-profile projects. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and implementing a multi-year, multi-million-dollar IT transformational project in a complex enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the procurement of digital solutions to meet organisational requirements
- Significant experience in project management with emphasis on strong project governance, planning and control, risk and issue management.
- Demonstrated ability to champion human-centered design principles throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that solutions are user-friendly, intuitive, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
- Strong leadership and change management skills with experience in end to end delivery of significant business system and complex business change and transformation projects.
- Strengths in business requirements gathering, analysis, problem solving and coordination.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills for team management and strong stakeholder engagement with ability to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in building, managing and leading high performance teams to deliver high quality, customer focused outcomes.
- High level written and verbal communication.
- High resilience and self-discipline.
- Knowledge and utilisation of Prince2 project management methodology is preferred.
- Formal qualifications in Project Management, IT or similar
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Prior experience working in and/or knowledge of the Education sector.
