New contact opportunity available for an experienced Project Manager who will lead business casing activities and manage the delivery of a new Retail Billing solution for our utilities client. This role will require strong collaboration at executive and operational levels within the clients Retail and Digital divisions, with vendors and delivery partners.
This is a 12-month contract role and will be based in Newstead, Brisbane + WFH flexibility. Daily market rates are on offer, with no agency fees.
The role is suited to a Project Manager who has:
- Experience leading complex technology projects within large enterprises, understanding the delivery risks and management challenges
- Experience in large business case development, options analysis and implementation planning
- Commercial acumen in electricity retailing and the Australian energy industry
- An agile mindset and good understanding of modern software delivery approaches
- Strong project management discipline, outcome focussed and good attention to detail
- Demonstrated expertise managing and collaborating with external delivery partners and vendors
- Personal capacity to apply professional and consistent behaviours when operating under pressured time constraints
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills at executive and operational levels
Skills required
- 5+ years' experience in managing complex IT projects in large organisations, understanding the delivery risks and management challenges
- Strong project management discipline, outcome focussed and good attention to detail
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills at executive and operational levels, including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts
- Demonstrated expertise managing and collaborating with external delivery partners and vendors
- Experience in large business case development, options analysis and implementation planning
- Big picture thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
