Job description

As a Project Manager, you will be provided with the opportunity to lead and manage a project for the department. The diversity of our environment will enable you to build on your broad and varied project leadership skills in a constructive, collaborative and outcome-based environment. You will support the department through the full project life cycle by offering support and advice on project management, planning, change management and facilitation services.

Responsibilities:
 Provide leadership and management of projects, within established project management frameworks, methodologies, and policies, to ensure successful project outcomes.
 Develop detailed project management plans, change management plans, communications plans, quality plans, detailed project schedules, and resource schedules, inclusive of budget.
 Lead and implement change, communication and training activities to ensure the successful adoption and stakeholder buy-in and usage.
 Create change management documentation including communication and training materials to support the change strategy
 Schedule, review, monitor and evaluate project progress and report on such to key stakeholders including project governance bodies.
 Ensure project risks and issues are promptly identified and effectively managed and that project stakeholders are informed and engaged in project development and implementation activities.
 Provide high level expertise and advice to the Project Board, other project stakeholders and relevant client representatives with respect to project and change management matters.
 Lead any procurement processes and liaise with any external suppliers or account managers
 Lead the transition of delivered outputs to the business

Qualifications/Skills:
 Proven experience in delivering a range of IT projects in large, complex organisations, managing (end to end) project management life cycle.
 Showcase exceptional interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
 Demonstrate innovative approach and out of the box thinking to address real project problems and risks that have the potential to affect stakeholders.
 Possess strong negotiation and vendor management skills

Highly Desirable Qualifications/Skills:

 Qualifications in Project Management or significant relevant industry experience is required.
 Highly developed oral and written communication skills in the areas of change management practice and the adoption and embedding of new solutions
Experience working with government organisations (preferable but not mandatory).
 Previous experience working for a large IT/ICT organisation or IT Projects (involving
significant and/or complex business change elements).
