Job description

Our client, one of the most interesting government departments to work for, is seeking the skills and expertise of two Project Officers to join their team and engage actively with their clients. Any experience with the indigenous community or housing would be amazing.

As part of a very important and expansive team, you will engage with the Project Manager and multiple other stakeholders, and be responsible for:

Essential Skills:

  • Design and delivery of a long-term calendar of events across the region to ensure the office reaches its target of Home Ownership opportunities each financial year.
  • Provide support to indigenous home buyers with signposting and education
  • Administer the grants program, requiring high levels of probity
  • Provide accurate and up to date data and analysis on the delivery of the Home Ownership Program. Including finalising the Home Ownership Dashboard and establishing and maintaining core internal and external data sets to ensure the program is targeting cohorts most in need, provide analysis, evaluation and reporting needs of the organisation.
  • Contributing to the provision of and support to a range of internal, inter-agency and inter-jurisdictional Committees
  • Assist in coordinating meetings, agendas and the efficient flow of documents and correspondence

Desirable Skills:

  • Maintain an understanding of issues impacting the management of the indigenous community
  • Maintain administrative and document tracking processes, workflows and procedures
  • Previous government experience will absolutely be preferred.
