Job description

Our client, a Global Consulting Company that has been awarded Global Top Employer for the sixth consecutive year, is currently seeking a Release Manager to work on one of the largest retail giants within Australia.

Essential Skills

  • Accountable for all the releases in Supply Chain domain called Vendor Systems.
  • Accurate documentation needed for change and release preparation with well-defined checklists.
  • Preparing release plan with all stake holders and agreeing to the schedule and tag it to the IT change.
  • Make sure Entry/Exit criteria and process checkpoints are completed before Golive implementation
  • Build and develop IT Release Calendar with all dependencies sorted.
  • Preparing IT change including risk and impact assessments and tagging Affected and relevant Associated CI (Configuration Item) to the change
  • Accountable to prepare end-end implementation sheet with clearly defined dependencies and sequencing activities.
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
  • Making sure of presenting changes in CAB (Change Advisory Board) with detailed information and take any questions from the CAB approvers.
  • Managing Release conflicts as vendor systems always have releases weekly, Monthly and adhoc basis.
  • Understand and tag proper incidents/problems numbers to the release.
  • Release comms at regular intervals to the stakeholders after defining Stakeholder's list.
  • Conduct resource planning for every release and block their calendars.
  • Management of rigorous analysis of change impacts and associated risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies for the change process across the respective groups (Internal and external stakeholders/partners)
  • Manage and continually enhancing change performance reviews and metrics reporting.
  • Managing complete release cycle via Jira and Service Now Integration
  • Weekly Release status reporting to senior management
  • Triaging any issues pot deployment during business verification with appropriate technical teams/vendors/stakeholders
  • Validate Release scope and deployment package.
