Research Librarian
About the Role:
As a Research Librarian, you will play a pivotal role in delivering business intelligence and current awareness services, focusing on priority industry sectors in Australia and key overseas markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, evaluate, select, and present data and information to meet the needs of internal and external clients.
- Assist with trade and investment data queries to support industry strategy and client work.
- Coordinate the delivery of current awareness services, including newsletters and alerts.
- Provide training in the use of subscription databases and other information resources.
- Collaborate with internal client groups to develop and deliver tailored information services and resources.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in library and information services.
- Proficiency in using aggregated news and business information databases and proprietary sources.
- Ability to evaluate and select appropriate data and information sources for business strategy and client work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Ability to contribute to the identification of opportunities for new and improved services.
- Experience in training end-users in the use of information resources.
- Awareness of digital engagement and proficiency in digital workplace tools.
