Our client is requiring two Financial Reporting Analysts (risk and controls) to join their team and be an integral part of their Financial Reporting & Control department. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of their financial reporting. This position requires a deep understanding of process taxonomies & mapping, financial reporting risks and regulatory requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments related to financial reporting processes.
- Identify and analyse potential risks, ensuring a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement robust internal control frameworks for financial reporting.
- Design, document, and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Process Taxonomies and Mapping; conduct process mapping, in collaboration with the process transformation team, to visualise and document end-to-end financial reporting workflows, identifying key risk and control points.
Desirable:
- CA/CPA qualified (or international equivalent).
- 7+ years progressive post qualification experience in financial reporting, with a focus on risks and controls.
- Demonstrated ability to implement best practice risk management/control frameworks.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in developing and implementing process taxonomies and conducting process mapping.
- Financial Services expertise preferred.
