Job description

Are you passionate about data and delivering impactful business insights? We are currently seeking an experienced SAP Reporting Analyst to join a high-performing analytics team within a major Queensland government organisation based in Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on enterprise-wide reporting solutions supporting critical functions including Finance, HR, Procurement, and Asset Management.


Key Responsibilities

As a SAP Reporting Analyst, you will:

  • Develop reports and dashboards using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

  • Leverage SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, and other SAP data warehousing platforms to enable data-driven decision-making.

  • Design and implement S/4HANA CDS Views, virtual data models, and utilize ABAP Core Data Services for analytics purposes.

  • Work across functional domains such as Finance, Procurement, HR, Projects, and Asset Management to understand reporting requirements.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, lead design workshops, and write clear functional and technical specifications.

  • Participate in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments, working closely with cross-functional teams.


Mandatory Requirements

  • Proven experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) report development and dashboard design.

  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, or similar data warehousing tools.

  • Strong experience with S/4HANA CDS Views, ABAP Core Data Services, and virtual data models.

  • Sound understanding of ERP business processes in Finance, Procurement, HR, Projects, and Asset Management.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality functional and technical documentation.


Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with compliance reporting and regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement capabilities and experience conducting design workshops.

  • Exposure to SAP Fiori analytical apps and KPI tiles.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and SAP ERP integrations.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with an ability to liaise effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Experience with Oracle 8i / PL/SQL and general project management practices.
