Job description
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to work on a major client project in Sydney. The project is initially scoped out for a 9 month duration but it is likely to extend to a much longer term assignment.
The ideal person will start the assignment working from home and when restrictions are eased our client does like the team coming together on site at least 2 days per week. They are based in Sydney but also have an office in Melbourne so may consider Melbourne based candidates also.
The Scrum Master is part of the Agile practice and will work on projects as a member of the Agile leadership triangle and responsibilities will include:
Day-to-day development team work facilitation
Facilitation of Agile (Retrospective, Planning session, Estimations)
Removal of barriers to team effectiveness
Overall sprint and data management for the project
The Scrum Master's overall responsibility is to ensure that the team delivers services to the customer and completes various project management activities according to defined service level commitments and process compliancy guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a mix of the following skills and experience:
Delivery experience within an enterprise environment (understanding of Banking and Financial Services industry would be beneficial but not essential)
Proven experience leading and coaching teams using Agile and adaptive delivery models to achieve successful outcomes
Ability to manage agile forums and artefacts including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retros and showcases
Ability to drive squad scrums to monitor work, find efficiencies, surface blockers and aide in removing blockers
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to negotiate with both technology, business units and partners/vendors
