Job description

Join a leading Qld Government Department and play a key role in managing their ICT Infrastructure security.

Working as part of the ICT Infrastructure team, your main priority will be to manage the security infrastructure and mitigate security risks and identify vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and advice to achieve specified business objectives, including the planning, development, and implementation of technical security infrastructure and process improvements.
  • Monitor the security compliance maturity level of the technical infrastructure environment
  • Lead security risk and vulnerability assessments and report on and remediate technical security issues within the environment against the ACSC Essential 8 security controls and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a fit-for-purpose set of work practices within the technical security team.
  • Ensure that management is kept informed of risks, operational issues and emerging trends in technical security.

To be considered for this role, you will need to clearly demonstrate experience in a similar role where you have managed security infrastructure within a large and complex environment.

Technical Skills required:

  • Scripting (Powershell)
  • Extensive experience with an array of Microsoft products including:
    • Anti-Virus for both workstations and servers (Defender)
    • Application Control (Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC))
    • ARC, including MMA and AMA agents
    • Attack Surface Reduction (ASR)
    • Defender for Cloud
    • Email proxy (Microsoft Defender for Office365 (MDO))
    • Intune
    • Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
    • Purview
    • Sentinel
  • Web proxy (Zscaler)
