Job description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Security Engineer to join our clients dynamic Cyber Security Program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows Defender, M365 security suite, a solid understanding of the Essential 8 controls framework, and the ability to configure endpoints and servers to enhance the cyber security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise your expertise in Windows Defender and M365 security suite to protect against malware, phishing, and other cyber threats.
- Implement and maintain security controls based on the Essential 8 controls framework.
- Configure and monitor endpoints and servers to identify and respond to security incidents.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the organisation's security policies and procedures are followed.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber security threats and industry best practices to proactively address emerging risks.
- Assist in incident response and provide guidance on remediation strategies.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Analyst, with a focus on Windows Defender, M365 security suite, and endpoint/server configuration.
- Strong understanding of the Essential 8 controls framework and its application in a corporate environment.
