Infrastructure Project Manager

Location: ACT
Contract Duration: July 2024 - July 2025 (with potential for a 12-month extension)
Security Clearance: Negative Vetting Level 2 required
Travel: Domestic and overseas travel required as per project schedule

About the Role:

Join a dynamic team as an Infrastructure Project Manager, playing a pivotal role in overseeing critical security infrastructure projects. We are seeking a highly skilled individual with expertise in project and construction management, coupled with a keen understanding of security measures in building projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver projects on time and within budget while ensuring compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the project team.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets effectively.
  • Coordinate project stakeholders throughout all phases of the project.
  • Liaise with customers, stakeholders, and governance bodies.
  • Manage project scope, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Oversee design and documentation processes.
  • Handle project variations and changes.
  • Prepare progress reports and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain project administration systems.
  • Develop, manage, and update project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and legislative obligations.
  • Liaise with suppliers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Monitor project progress and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate project handover and close-out activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to liaise with key stakeholders and develop project briefs.
  • Strong background in delivering construction and security infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in procuring and managing consultants and contractors.
  • Proficiency in reviewing design documentation and identifying issues.
  • Ability to conduct site visits and develop statements of work.
  • Competence in drafting contract work orders and managing budgets.

Required Services:

  • Project management of security components and construction works.
  • Coordination and delivery of security-related fit-outs.
  • Development of WHS plans and SWMS.
  • Ensuring compliance with construction codes and security specifications.
  • Managing project budgets and reporting to stakeholders.
