Position Overview
You will play a pivotal role in identifying and documenting functional and non-functional requirements for their Retail Data Platform. Your responsibilities will include capturing use-case proposals, estimating and prioritising tasks, reverse engineering requirements, and collaborating with project teams to design effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Retail stakeholders to identify and document requirements.
- Catalogue use-case proposals and collaborate on estimation and prioritisation.
- Reverse engineer requirements from existing processes and data prototypes.
- Lead data classification and create business definitions for catalogue tools.
- Design solutions in collaboration with project teams.
- Conduct testing activities to ensure data models align with business requirements.
- Support project teams in the successful delivery of projects using contemporary tools.
- Develop and deliver clear reports and presentations in a dynamic environment.
- Document transition to support activities and artefacts.

Data Strategy Expert:
- Demonstrated expertise in orchestrating the capture of use cases and requirements, steering initiatives toward successful business intelligence and analytic outcomes across diverse organisational landscapes.
Regulatory Compliance Specialist:
- Proven experience navigating regulated environments, with a comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements, including adept reporting and information provision to regulatory bodies.
Master Scheduler:
- Track record of excellence in estimating, planning, and effectively managing business analysis work schedules to ensure a streamlined analytically work flow.
Architectural Insight:
- A seasoned understanding of enterprise data warehouse approaches within complex organisations, showcasing the ability to architect and optimise data structures strategically.
Cloud Technology Proficiency:
- Proficient in navigating Databricks and related cloud technologies tailored for business intelligence or data-related settings, demonstrating technical acumen in cloud environments.
Data Governance and Cataloguing Authority:
- Proven experience in crafting meticulous business glossaries and data catalogues, emphasising a commitment to data precision and organisation.
SQL and Business Rules Proficiency:
- Proficient in deciphering SQL intricacies and embedded business rules, showcasing technical expertise in unravelling the complexities of data systems.
Strategic Relationship Builder:
- Demonstrated ability to strategically build and nurture strong relationships with business managers and ICT service providers, displaying negotiation finesse in technical environments.
Desirable Criteria:
Tooling Proficiency:
- Hands-on proficiency with project tools and applications, showcasing a professional flair for optimising technological landscapes.
Agile Methodology Navigator:
- A solid grasp of the project delivery life cycle and agile methodology, demonstrating adaptability and professionalism in project environments.
Industry Insight:
- Professional experience and knowledge of the energy or a related industry, bringing valuable sector-specific insights and professional know-how to the table.
Retail Operations Understanding:
- Professional understanding of retail operations, spanning sales, forecasting, call centre operations, and works management, revealing a holistic grasp of technical aspects within retail dynamics.
Reporting Excellence:
- Proven professional expertise in designing visually compelling reports, utilising tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SAP reporting products.
Data Maturity Strategist:
- Professional experience in eliciting requirements from organisations with low data maturity, showcasing adaptability and strategic thinking in diverse data landscapes.

- Professional expertise in Data Governance and Data Quality management, revealing proficiency in creating artefacts that contribute to data integrity and organisational excellence.
