Paxus is partnering with a large state government department who are currently expanding their cloud hosted environments across their sites. As a result of an increased pipeline of work, an opportunity for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their North Brisbane office on a 12 month contract has become available.
Role/Responsibilities
As the Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for providing high quality technical support within the department's cloud hosted environments. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Day to day operational support for existing cloud-based solutions
- Identify, analyse, and record, document and manage complex change/incidents/problems in accordance with established ITIL standards and procedures.
- Consultation with stakeholders on the design and implementation of new Cloud based solutions built on Architectural best practises
- Ensure that ICT support reference materials are consistently created and maintained including network diagrams, work instructions, quick reference guides and training material.
- Provide skills and experience to current On-premises to AWS Migration project when required
Skills/Experience
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in AWS cloud architecture, Operations, and system administration in large complex environments.
- Experience with tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Sceptre, Experience with automation and scripting tools (Puppet, Shell, PowerShell, Python)
- Knowledge of Cloud environment security best practices.
- AWS Associate or Professional level certifications highly regarded
