Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with a strong focus on firewall technologies, particularly Juniper SRX, Checkpoint, and Fortigate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, implement, and maintain complex firewall solutions leveraging Juniper SRX, Checkpoint, and Fortinet technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex firewall issues, ensuring optimal network performance and security.
- Configure and optimise firewall policies to meet security requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Design, implement, and manage F5 load balancer configurations to distribute traffic efficiently.
- Lead the migration of Checkpoint firewall to FortiGate, minimising downtime and ensuring seamless transition.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on firewall technologies.
- Ability to build firewalls from scratch after receiving a design
- Advanced knowledge of Juniper SRX and Checkpoint. (Fortigate is beneficial but not essential)
- In-depth understanding of load balancing principles and F5 load balancer configuration.
- Enterprise switching and routing experience
- Experience with network design and architecture.
- Experience with network automation tools is beneficial (e.g., Ansible, Python).
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure is beneficial
- Prior experience with financial institutions is beneficial
