Job description

Essential

1. Background as a senior Oracle Data Base Administrator Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with extensive knowledge of Oracle database administration, version 12c and 19c.

2. Applicants must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 2 years focused on database migrations and cloud technologies. Oracle DBA Certification and OCI Architect Certification are highly desirable.

3 Oracle Database and Cloud Infrastructure Migration Experience Demonstrated experience in migrating Oracle databases to newer versions and to cloud environments, preferably OCI.

4. Cloud Proficiency Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and familiarity with cloud services, tools, and best practices.

5. Technical Skills Strong understanding of database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle RAC. Experience with Oracle Data Guard, Oracle GoldenGate, and backup/recovery techniques.

6. Problem-Solving Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex migration issues and optimize database performance.

7. Communication and Collaboration Skills Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Federal Government ICT
  • Oracle Database and Tools Experience
  • 2 years focused on database migrations and cloud technologies.
  • Oracle certifications and training in Oracle technologies, cloud platforms, and data base administration are highly desirable.
  • SAFe and/or Agile Experience/Exposure Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other agile methodologies is a plus. Experience or exposure to agile practices will help streamline program delivery

  • Active Baseline clearance
