Job description

Position Summary:

As a Senior Developer, you will play a crucial role in advancing the strategic goals through the development and enhancement of digital solutions. With your expertise in software development, you will lead the implementation of innovative solutions while providing technical guidance to junior staff members. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing high-quality services to key stakeholders across organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development:

  • Lead the development and testing of products and services, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Develop, review, and optimise technical and system procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Coordinate documentation activities to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

Product Support:

  • Continuously improve supported products through development and implementation strategies.
  • Manage testing tasks and ensure successful operation of supported products.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve issues and implement quality planning.

User Support:

  • Provide expert guidance on effective use of supported products.
  • Serve as an escalation point for key stakeholders and ensure effective training and promotion.
  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Knowledge and Experience required :

Essential:

  • Extensive experience with PeopleSoft development and support.
  • Proven experience analysing existing application processes and designing and implementing improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer scenarios and requirements, to develop and deliver effective business solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving, working well under pressure and meeting work deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.

To be successful you will need:

  1. Oracle Certified expert in PeopleSoft PeopleTools (version 8.58 or above) and HCM (version 9.2 or above) software: Global Payroll, Absence Management, Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, Time and Labour, Administer Workforce.
  2. Proven experience analysing existing application processes and designing and implementing improvements.
  3. Demonstrated ability to understand customer scenarios and requirements, to develop and deliver effective business solutions.
  4. Demonstrated ability in problem solving, working well under pressure and meeting work deadlines.
  5. Proven experience with integrating systems through APIs is highly regarded.

Qualifications:

  1. Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
  2. An equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education / training.

Location: Adelaide CBD, hybrid working. Candidates should be based in South Australia or being willing to relocation for this role.
