One of Australia's largest financial institutions are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the team and lead the migration of document and services infrastructure to a PostgreSQL database on AWS.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive plan for migrating all documentation to a PostgreSQL database on AWS.
- Provide ongoing operational support for the migrated PostgreSQL infrastructure.
- Design and implement solutions to optimise PostgreSQL performance and security.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation) to provision and manage infrastructure on AWS.
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Automate infrastructure and configuration management tasks using tools like Ansible.
To be successful, your CV must highlight much of the following:
- Proven experience with large-scale database migrations (GoldenGate and AWS DMS experience a plus).
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL development, design, and performance optimisation.
- Expertise in AWS cloud services, particularly with a focus on database services.
- Proficiency in Linux administration and software configuration management.
- Experience with Python scripting and version control systems (Git/GitHub).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar tools).
- Ability to work effectively in a large enterprise environment.
- Previous experience in the financial sector is beneficial but not essential
