Our client is after a highly skilled SharePoint Migration Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be involved in migrating SharePoint 2013 document management sites to SharePoint Online.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online migrations, optimising for efficiency and overcoming challenges like throttling and network constraints.
- Conduct thorough pre-migration checks to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Troubleshoot migration errors and warnings to ensure seamless data transfer.
- Collaborate with business units to understand and fulfill migration requirements.
- Implement best practices for SharePoint Online document management configuration.
- Work closely with the ICTS infrastructure team to establish and maintain migration servers and service accounts.
- Decommission SharePoint 2013 infrastructure post-migration.
- Migrate legacy data sources to SharePoint Online, preserving critical metadata.
- Assist in integrating SharePoint Online sites with Records365.
To be successful, your CV must highlight much of the following:
- Minimum 7-10 years of software development experience.
- Prior experience in SharePoint migration
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing and developing SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online solutions.
- Proven expertise in migrating SharePoint 2013 document management sites to SharePoint Online, including troubleshooting migration errors and analysing error logs.
- Demonstrated ability to configure SharePoint Online for optimal document management, including site architecture, permissions, and workflows.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
