Job description

The role involves identifying and resolving incidents, advising staff and visitors on technical issues, providing information to the business on operational environment issues, and documenting solutions for end-user services, including desktop and audio-visual systems.

Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality, client-focused service with accurate and timely computing support.
- Solving problems and providing technical advice to the University community.
- Establishing good working relationships with vendors and specialized IT groups to resolve issues via in-person walk-up service.
- Providing Level 2 desktop support and audio-visual support onsite, particularly at North Terrace locations.
- Offering customer service from 8 AM to 6 PM on business days.

Knowledge and Experience required:
1. Team player contributing to team goals and project management.
2. Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving technical issues for desktops, laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and associated software.
3. Providing in-depth Level 2 technical support and advice on AV equipment, escalating to Level 3 support when necessary.
4. Customer-facing service experience, effective liaison with diverse users, especially executive stakeholders.
5. Training and supporting stakeholders in using AV and Video Conference facilities.
6. Strong organizational skills and practical troubleshooting and problem analysis techniques.
7. Responding to direct requests for event support.

1. IT-related qualification and/or equivalent relevant experience.
2. Industry certifications.
