Position Overview: As a Senior Developer/Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our development team and driving the technical direction of our projects. You will leverage your expertise in full-stack development, cloud-based environments, and best practices to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions. If you are a proactive leader with a passion for coaching and mentoring, and have experience in developing cloud-native SaaS platforms, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to software developers, coaching them on best practices and facilitating their work.
- Develop secure code across the full stack of technologies, including front-end and back-end development.
- Utilize AWS cloud services to architect and develop within a cloud-based environment.
- Leverage Java using Play Framework for efficient and scalable backend development.
- Manage databases, particularly MySQL, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Lead the development of code for cloud-native SaaS platforms, emphasizing microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement user interfaces that meet user needs and enhance user experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Utilities or Energy Sector
- Proven experience providing technical direction and mentoring software developers.
- Strong proficiency in full-stack development, with expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Hands-on experience developing within a cloud-based environment using AWS services.
- Extensive knowledge of Java development, particularly with the Play Framework.
- Solid understanding of database management, with experience working with MySQL.
- Experience developing code for cloud-native SaaS platforms, including microservices and design patterns.
- Proficiency in screen/user function design UI, with a focus on usability and accessibility.
