Technical Project Manager - CyberCyber Security Program
Initial contract until 30 June 2025 | Adelaide CBDCBD | Government Client | Hybrid Work Arrangement
Our client, a prominent government agency, is delivering a multimulti-year CyberCyber Security Program aimed at uplifting its security posture in alignment with national and state-wide cybercyber security frameworks. As part of this strategic program, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join the team and lead one or more key cybercyber security initiatives.
About the Role
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and cybercyber security projects. The role requires coordination across multiple internal technical teams, external vendors, and a broad range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver assigned cybercyber security and infrastructure projects in collaboration with technical teams, business units, and external vendors.
- Manage project schedules, risks, issues, scope, and resource allocations.
- Develop strong knowledge of business unit needs to inform rolloutrollout strategies.
- Lead project transition to operational support, ensuring sustainable handover and capability embedding.
- Provide regular project updates and status reports to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure technical implementation approaches are aligned to business and security objectives.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects, preferably in the public sector.
- Strong background in infrastructure projects and a sound understanding of IT operations, service desk, desktop, and application services.
- Practical understanding of cybercyber security principles and frameworks.
- Demonstrated capability in:
- Managing project budgets, plans, and resource allocations
- Requirements and change management
- Defect tracking and quality assurance processes
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, resolve conflict, and manage expectations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an organisation.

- Location: Adelaide CBDCBD (Hybrid work available)
- Security Clearance: Police background check required prior to commencement
