Job description

  • Work within high-performing Government Department
  • $750-$900 p/d plus Super | Location Paramatta | WFH
  • 6 Months Contract | View to Extend

About the role:

Develop and deliver applications and enhancements to digital portfolio applications ensuring quality delivery.

Key accountabilities:

  • Develop quality code that is secure, reliable, sustainable and meets Sydney Water standards, processes and frameworks
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements while collaborating with all Digital Business teams to ensure a rich customer experience
  • Perform deployments to controlled test environments and participate in implementation of software release
  • Ensure issues effecting code quality and delivery are escalated on continual basis to the Technical Lead, ensuring customer focused delivery.
  • Implement tasks allocated by the Technical Lead to meet customer requirements
  • Participate in capability development and training to align with Sydney Water's evolving technology profile including skill transfer and guidance
  • Produce appropriate system documentation as required

Experiance required:

  • Java and Web development (demonstrated experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, team focus and dedication to customer service
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in an changing environment
  • Ability to translate business requirements to arrive at a technical solution that meets the business needs
  • Ability to deliver to the agreed functional and quality outcomes
  • Demonstrated people collaboration skills
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt in changing environment
  • Ability to plan and self-manage workloads
