An exciting opportunity to join a leading local government entity in Western Australia as a Business Improvement Officer.
Our client is currently undertaking a significant digital transformation initiative to transition their core systems to a single integrated solution, TechnologyOne OneCouncil. This project will integrate Property & Rating with their existing Finance, HRP, and Supply Chain modules. In this role, you will be integral to enhancing the efficiency of business processes enabled by corporate applications, working collaboratively with staff across all levels of their diverse Business Units.
This is a fixed term full time position until June 2027. We are seeking a candidate with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes, a proven ability to identify areas for improvement, strong knowledge of corporate systems, and the skills to effectively train and support business units in their application usage.
What you will be doing:
- Promoting the effective and efficient utilisation of the organisation's corporate applications.
- Developing and maintaining in-depth subject matter expertise in applications, with a focus on optimising related business processes.
- Establishing and managing ongoing training plans, as well as proposing strategies and options for enhancing systems usage.
- Ensuring the availability of relevant and accessible user guides, training materials, and resources tailored to diverse audiences.
- Coordinating and leading business process improvement initiatives pertaining to corporate applications.
- Supporting the integration of process changes resulting from digital transformation projects involving corporate applications.
- Cultivating and maintaining productive working relationships with management and staff to facilitate business excellence.
- Collaborating effectively with the team's business system analysts to support the enablement of application systems.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, incorporating effective change management practices.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, including strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in information systems or a comparable level of professional experience.
- Extensive experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Specialised knowledge and practical experience in business and process improvement principles and techniques.
- Experience in developing training and user documentation, including online learning materials, and delivering training in both individual and group settings.
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate is a mandatory requirement.
