We're seeking a Data Modeller who can bring strong technical skills, problem-solving capability, and collaborative energy to a forward-thinking public sector project. Your work will directly support the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise data models that underpin reporting, analytics, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop logical and physical data models to support enterprise reporting.
Apply data architecture principles including normalization, denormalization, ER modelling, and star/Medallion architectures.
Organise and model data using Microsoft Fabric Lakehouses and OneLake, creating structured raw, curated, and modelled layers.
Work with SQL (T-SQL) and Spark for querying across Fabric Data Warehouses and Lakehouses.
Use tools like Lucid and Erwin for collaborative data modelling.
Ensure data models meet governance and compliance standards (e.g. Microsoft Purview).
Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Data Scientists to deliver scalable and AI/ML-ready data solutions.
Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and support user acceptance through model playback and validation.
Contribute to data governance initiatives by defining standards, quality rules, and tracing lineage from ingestion to reporting.
