Job description
We're currently looking for a skilled and driven Architect to join our team, focusing on complex infrastructure environments. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving the design, integration, deployment, and configuration of advanced network and infrastructure solutions. You'll also support fault management processes, provide clear technical recommendations, and develop robust backup strategies.
Your Responsibilities:
As an Architect, you will:
- Engage with clients directly, both onsite and remotely, to deliver tailored and effective solutions.
- Lead architecture design efforts and manage technical escalations while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, proposals, and project reports.
- Identify and recommend areas for improvement within systems or processes.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of complex enterprise solutions.
- Take full ownership of key technology domains, driving technical leadership and delivery.
- Liaise with vendors during critical escalations or for bug resolution identified in deployments.
- Work closely with the Program Manager to align with program schedules and goals.
- Support other tasks and initiatives as required.
What You Bring:
To be successful in this role, you'll be someone who thrives in complex environments and brings a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset. You will also have:
- Solid experience operating in enterprise-scale datacentre environments.
- Strong grasp of business and technical solution design principles.
- A successful track record in managing full lifecycle technical implementations.
- Proven leadership experience as a technical lead.
- Deep technical expertise in enterprise networking and infrastructure.
- Advanced proficiency in several of the following technologies:
- EVPN VXLAN
- Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) and SD-WAN
- MPLS and Segment Routing
- Overlay/Underlay WAN architectures
- Security: VPN, secure gateways, F5, Cisco security solutions
- Strong understanding of operational readiness and systems management.
- Familiarity with multi-vendor enterprise systems and integration strategies.
- Good understanding of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present to stakeholders confidently.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and guiding junior team members.
Qualifications and Certifications
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Recognised industry certifications in networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCIE, JNCIE, ACMP).
- TOGAF certification is highly regarded.
