Location: ACT or VIC
Work Type: Hybrid (minimum 3 days in office)
Contract Duration: 12 months (with 12-month extension option)
Start Date: 30 June 2025
Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
Citizenship: Australian Citizens only

We are seeking an experienced Payment Business Architect to contribute to major technology transformation initiatives. This role will work on the enhancement of business processes and solutions that support the delivery of a target state payments platform, aligned with the agency's technology strategy and architectural principles.



To be successful in this role you must:





  • Liaise with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide strategic technology consultancy
  • Map and analyse end-to-end processes with both business and technical teams.

  • Model current and future states while identifying risks and opportunities.

  • Apply platform-agnostic, systems thinking and architectural principles to business solutions.

  • Represent business architecture in quarterly planning and collaborate with architects to ensure outcomes align with agency goals.

  • Define data and process requirements and contribute to end-to-end solution design.



To be considered for this role you must:

  • 4-5 years' experience in a similar business architecture or analyst role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or equivalent.

  • Strong listening, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Demonstrated experience in modelling business processes using various tools and techniques.

  • Proven experience in cloud-based project environments and digital transformation initiatives, including accessibility-compliant solutions.

  • Familiarity with deployment in public/private cloud environments and related security considerations.

  • Experience in large-scale technology transformation projects.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Structured delivery frameworks.

  • Exposure to Salesforce Service Cloud and Insurance industries.

  • TOGAF certification or equivalent.

  • Passion for accessibility and inclusive design practices.
