Senior Test Analyst
- Quality Assurance Engineer
- 12 months contract with 2x 12 months extension options
- EL1 equivalent role
- Sydney, Hybrid work arrangement
- Australian citizenship with NV1 security clearance
Senior Test Analyst to ensure that its IT systems undergo rigorous quality assurance testing processes before code releases, thereby also reducing the risk of disruption after changes go live.
Responsibilities
The Senior Test Analyst will operate within an Agile delivery environment, applying quality assurance processes and practices, while working collaboratively with business analysts and engineers to analyse business and technical requirements.
- Developing strategic test plans and articulating test plans for project deliverables;
- Conducting manual testing when required;
- Executing all levels of testing (system, integration, and regression);
- Understanding the scope of work in each sprint/release and directing automation testing efforts to the areas of most risk;
- Developing and running automated functional test cases using test automation tools such as Selenium and Cypress when required;
- Ensuring automation testing standards are met across the product team and following internal software engineering guidelines to ensure best automation testing practices are applied to meet project objectives;
- Automating functional and regression testing scenarios, when required;
- Providing quality assurance signoffs for each release and identifying testing coverage, gaps and other potential risks; and
- Configuring continuous integration jobs and related scripts for automated test scenario orchestration, scheduling and reporting of automated test runs.
Requirements
The Senior Test Analyst should have the following qualification, skills and experience:
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in an IT focussed degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 or more years' experience working in senior testing quality assurance roles.
- Experience in writing and executing manual and automated test scenarios.
- Experience in utilising UI automation tools.
- Demonstrated skills in creating and running parallel cross-browser automated test scenarios.
- Demonstrated experience operating as part of a multi-disciplinary team within an Agile project delivery environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
- Skills in creating CI/CD pipeline for automation test sets.
Desirable
- Coding skills in Java, SQL and Python.
- Knowledge of system performance testing and penetration testing.
